Walks on foot and snowshoes
The Belleville Valley offers a protected environment for those eager to hike and snowshoe. Use the marked paths to discover the valley and its natural beauties.
The Vallée des Belleville offers walkers a preserved nature, perfect for walks or snowshoe outings. Thanks to the snow-packed and marked out paths, walkers can wind their way along the valley and discover its winter natural setting.
Examples of itineraries :
~ The new Pelozet pedestrian path allows one to walk to Les Menuires from Saint Martin de Belleville. Access from the top of the Saint Martin gondola : follow the path accross the wide sunny plateaux up to the Roc des 3 Marches gondola. Take the gondola down into Les Menuires. Return to Saint Martin by the Doron path or by bus.
~ The snowshoe circuit Le Châtelard - Téton: this walk leaves from the village of Le Châtelard (alt. 1350 m) and follows the path that hairpin bends its way up towards Téton (alt. 1800 m). The slope is quite steep but regular. Very beautiful views of the village of Saint Martin, the summits above and La Gittaz.
